Here’s a few pictures of the cake I put together for a friend’s engagement party.
It’s a Dungeons and Dragons grid map.

The 2 characters are made out of marzipan and gum paste

The rest is fondant, white chocolate for the door, and some caramel for things like the treasure chest and staff. I painted it watercolor style with diluted food coloring.

I think next time I’m going to buy some pre-made sheet cakes.
Seems like all you can get at the store for cake mix is “super-moist” which is too soft for the weight of the fondant. That’s why it’s a bit wobbly lookin’.
